For island breakfast bars, a 300mm overhang is standard without additional support. Overhangs above doors follow industry standards: 30mm for handless doors like parapan, and 40mm for shaker style doors.
Standard top and bottom bevels are included. Pencil edge is available upon request. Additional options like ogee or bullnose edges are priced per linear meter.
Quartz worktops come in 20mm and 30mm thicknesses. Creating a mitred edge for a custom thickness on the front edge is charged per linear meter.
Standard upstand height is 100mm and 20mm thickness. Full-height upstands covering worktops to wall units are available at an additional square meter price.
Options include tiling, stainless steel, glass, or quartz cooker splashbacks. Standard size is 750mm x 750mm, with bespoke sizes available at an additional charge.
Yes, cracks, scratches, and stains can be repaired. Each case is assessed on-site, drawing on over 20 years of industry experience.
Draining grooves are an option for inset/undermount sinks. Increasingly less popular, clients often prefer a clutter-free surface.
Undermount sinks are favored for solid stone surfaces, offering more work surface. Overmount sinks come with built-in draining boards.
A polished square section of stone tilted to create an incline for water drainage, eliminating the need to wipe excess water.
A standard 100mm upstand complements worktops. Tiles or glass splashbacks can be added later for versatility.
Transparent silicone is standard. For colour matching, Mappaseil silicone is used, matching the desired stone against a palette chart.
Decorators are responsible for finishing above the upstand. Stone installation and waterproofing are handled by us.
We do not standardly plumb, but additional plumbing services are available at an extra charge.
Industry standard tolerance is 3mm. We strive for zero tolerance but work within accepted guidelines.
Joins are not invisible but less apparent from a standing position. Motorized seam setters are used for minimal joins.
Corner shapes depend on the kitchen layout. Client preference influences the choice between small radius and squared corners.
Standard size is 3000 x 1400, and jumbo slabs are 3200 x 1600, available in 20mm and 30mm thicknesses.
